Memorial Park: A Tribute to Our Heroes
A Place of Honor
Memorial Park on Tybee Island, Georgia, is home to the Tybee Island Veterans Circle of Freedom Memorial Monument, which honors the brave souls from every branch of our armed services. This monument stands as a testament to our community's pride and unwavering support for the values that our nation represents—love of family and freedom for all.
The monument has a fresh new look! If you weren’t able to join us for the dedication on December 10, 2016, we warmly invite you to visit and reflect on its significance for you, for us all, and for generations to come.
Experience the Monument
We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who attended the dedication. This beautiful monument is the result of a decade of hard work by dedicated community members who have passionately crafted a space to honor all service men and women. Their selfless sacrifices have gifted us, the American community, the opportunity to live in a democratic society.
Honoring a Decade of Dedication
A Community of Support
We invite everyone to take a moment to visit Memorial Park. It is a serene place where you can sit on a bench and reflect on what this monument symbolizes. The calming atmosphere allows for contemplation, and the bronze plaques bear the names of local heroes who have served in conflicts up to the present day, including our fallen police officers from Tybee.
Our community, both near and far, has chosen to support Memorial Park and the Tybee Island Circle of Freedom through the purchase of commemorative bricks that encircle the base of the monument. Individuals and families can engrave the names of their loved ones, or even their own names, whether or not they have served. If you would like to sponsor a brick to support the memorial and monument, please let us know. Everyone is welcome to contribute.
